People System Overview
1. Purpose
The People System (System 08) ensures we have the right people, in the right seats, doing the right work. It covers the entire lifecycle of a team member: from "Stranger" to "Alumni."
Core Philosophy: "We hire adults and trust them." We build systems to support them, not to micromanage them.
2. The Employee Lifecycle
- Attract: Employer Branding & Recruiting.
- Onboard: The "First 90 Days" Experience.
- Develop: Training via System 05 (Content).
- Perform: KPI tracking and Feedback loops.
- Retain: Career Paths and Culture.
- Exit: Graceful offboarding and knowledge capture.
3. Key Components
- Recruiting Pipeline: Treated like a Sales Pipeline.
- Performance Management: Quarterly Reviews + Weekly 1:1s.
- L&D (Learning & Development): Mandatory "Continuous Learning" using our internal courses.
- Compensation: Transparent, market-rate, and merit-based.
4. Interactions
- Input (From Management): Hiring Budget and Org Chart from System 01.
- Input (From Content): Training materials from System 05.
- Output (To Admin): Triggers IT Provisioning in System 06.
- Output (To Finance): Payroll data for System 07.
5. Success Metrics
- eNPS: Employee Net Promoter Score.
- Time-to-Hire: Days from Job Post to Offer Accepted.
- Retention Rate: % of staff staying > 1 year.
- Ramp Time: Days until a new hire is fully productive.
