People System Overview

1. Purpose

The People System (System 08) ensures we have the right people, in the right seats, doing the right work. It covers the entire lifecycle of a team member: from "Stranger" to "Alumni."

Core Philosophy: "We hire adults and trust them." We build systems to support them, not to micromanage them.

2. The Employee Lifecycle

  1. Attract: Employer Branding & Recruiting.
  2. Onboard: The "First 90 Days" Experience.
  3. Develop: Training via System 05 (Content).
  4. Perform: KPI tracking and Feedback loops.
  5. Retain: Career Paths and Culture.
  6. Exit: Graceful offboarding and knowledge capture.

3. Key Components

  • Recruiting Pipeline: Treated like a Sales Pipeline.
  • Performance Management: Quarterly Reviews + Weekly 1:1s.
  • L&D (Learning & Development): Mandatory "Continuous Learning" using our internal courses.
  • Compensation: Transparent, market-rate, and merit-based.

4. Interactions

  • Input (From Management): Hiring Budget and Org Chart from System 01.
  • Input (From Content): Training materials from System 05.
  • Output (To Admin): Triggers IT Provisioning in System 06.
  • Output (To Finance): Payroll data for System 07.

5. Success Metrics

  • eNPS: Employee Net Promoter Score.
  • Time-to-Hire: Days from Job Post to Offer Accepted.
  • Retention Rate: % of staff staying > 1 year.
  • Ramp Time: Days until a new hire is fully productive.
