Role Definitions & Career Paths
1. Philosophy
People need to know where they are going. We define clear levels for every role to show the path from "Junior" to "Master."
2. The Universal Levels (Individual Contributor)
- L1 (Associate): Learning. Needs heavy supervision. Focus is on execution.
- L2 (Specialist): Doing. Autonomous on standard tasks. Focus is on consistency.
- L3 (Senior): Solving. Solves complex problems. Mentors L1s. Focus is on optimization.
- L4 (Principal): Architecting. Defines the standards. Focus is on strategy.
3. The Management Track
- M1 (Team Lead): Player-Coach. 50% doing, 50% managing.
- M2 (Manager): 100% managing. Owns a team's KPIs.
- M3 (Director): Owns a Department (System). Sets strategy.
- M4 (VP/C-Level): Owns the Business Direction.
4. Role Cards (Examples)
Operations Manager (System 04 Owner)
- Level: M2.
- Mission: Ensure every client project is delivered on time and on budget.
- KPIs: Project Margin, On-Time Delivery %, CSAT.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Resource Allocation.
- SOP Enforcement.
- Hiring/Firing Fulfillment staff.
Content Specialist (System 05)
- Level: L2.
- Mission: Turn raw ideas into polished AKUs.
- KPIs: Words published/week, Error rate.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting AKUs.
- Formatting in Loop.
- Uploading to CMS.
5. Promotion Criteria
Promotions are not based on tenure. They are based on:
- Consistent Performance: Hitting KPIs for 2+ quarters.
- Values Alignment: Living the culture.
- Capacity: Demonstrating ability to operate at the next level.
